Job Description
Plans, organizes and manages the staff and activities of the Respiratory Therapy department.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports and oversees the selection, development and management of indirect reports. Ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
2. Prepares and maintains staff schedules, payroll and employee files. Participates in orientation and training of new hires.
3. Provides cross training to improve efficiency of work flow and promote professional growth of staff and acts as an educational resource.
4. Assists with developing and implementing protocols for all aspects of Respiratory Therapy. Analyzes outcomes data for purpose of performance improvement.
5. Assures accurate and complete physician prescription. Compares prescription requisitions with medical record order form, ensures information is complete and clarifies any discrepancies with ordering physician.
6. Provides prescribed respiratory therapy as necessary. Responds to Cardiac Team and STAT situations. Documents all activities and patient outcomes/responses per established protocols.
7. Performs related duties, as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Cardio-Respiratory Science or related field, required.
Current NYS Respiratory Therapist (RT) license, required.
Registration (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care, required.
Minimum of five (5) years progressive experience, including familiarity with the technical and managerial aspects of a Respiratory Therapy Department.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
