This listing is for one excellent condition Ikegami HTM-1990R 20'' tube/19'' viewable Multiformat CRT MASTER Monitor, Ikegami's last most premium CRT monitor, Made in Japan on May 2012 + a new Ikegami RCT-30A IR remote control. See all 12 photos ( any moire lines is an effect of the camera/compression and not present in the actual monitor picture) . My old phone camera cannot do justice to how good it looks in person, but it gives an idea of the picture quality. A lot of additional photos, with better resolution and without eBay's compression, of the monitor externals and internals, as well as various test patterns and resolutions via these Imgur albums: 240p + 240pTestSuite : https://imgur.com/a/6yllUtj 480i : https://imgur.com/a/2e7mwHH 480p : https://imgur.com/a/1yUKqDp HD 720p & 1080i : https://imgur.com/a/vdeAAFn Monitor external/internal + test patterns : https://imgur.com/a/JYkaFKo The tldr;: As a fellow CRT enthusiast I guarantee you this is significantly better monitor in every way than the same tube-size popular Sony PVM 20L5, BVM D20, A20, and even better than the D24/A24, other than the latter's size advantage for 16:9 content (and even that gap is narrowed with some unique features of the Ikegami). If you already know how good this monitor is, you can skip to the "CONDITION" section below. Consider the following factors in comparison to the popular Sony multiformat monitors: 1. Resolution/sharpness : This is simply the sharpest mastering 4:3 CRT monitor ever made. Ikegami only published the HDTV 16:9 TV lines spec, which is over 950 TVL, this means that for 4:3 video the TV line count is over 1150 TVL . Compare this to the 4:3 TVL of a 20L5 (800), D20F1U/A20F1U (900), and D24E1WU (1000). I have owned all of these monitors and the Ikegami easily has sharper and more refined picture (even for HD 16:9 720p/1080i the D24/A24 somehow looks a bit less sharp, probably due to larger size). See the 240p scanlines close-up photos to get an idea. The 480p scanlines look similar to those on a GDM-F520, but better because of the following factor. 2. Shadow mask instead of aperture grille , finest dot pitch : the main advantage of shadow mask is no aperture grille damper wires , as well as more easily achieving better geometry/linearity/convergence. More arguably, scanlines with shadow mask dots look more natural than those produced by aperture grille stripes. The older advantages of Sony's Trinitron technology are completely overcome by a late shadow mask, especially one like this with such a fine dot pitch of 0.25mm, which is equivalent to
